Faced with growing enrollment at their two elementary schools, the Mount Prospect School District 57 School Board decided to reopen Westbrook School in 2006 as an Early Education Center.

 

The building’s theme of “a garden where children grow” was expanded into a nature themed mural and woodland motif in the renovated Learning Center.

Upgrades included new cabinetry, lighting, flooring, wall finishes, a new entrance, relocation of administrative offices, renovation of the heating and cooling system, lighting, parking lots and window replacement, phased through 2010.
