Carleton Washburne School’s challenges included the building’s circulation, a secure entry, improve athletic, musical instruction and lab science spaces.

This complicated addition/renovation project impacted over 70% of the building during 2 years of construction.

 

A 3-station gym was added along with locker rooms, storage area, cardio/kinetic room and dance studio. The old gyms were remodeled to house new science classrooms and band/orchestra rooms.

 

The second-story terrace was enclosed and a much larger administrative office space added at the front of the school.

 

A two-story glass atrium now brings visitors to the offices and links the north and south wings.
