Upgrading athletic facilities to host championship events.

 

To provide a facility capable of hosting official meets and sectionals, the high school district partnered with Elementary District 54 to renovate and expand the existing track and field complex.

 

By carefully adjusting the track’s proportions, the project added eight full lanes without relocating bleachers or stadium lighting.

New event areas for shot put, discus, long jump, high jump, and pole vault were also constructed to meet competition standards.

A key construction challenge involved modifying and protecting the existing sprinkler and drainage systems of the award-winning turf field, all while contending with wet summer weather. The result is a fully upgraded facility that supports athletic excellence and community pride.
