A Cafeteria Reinvented for Flexibility, Wellness and School Spirit
When planning their cafeteria renovation, the school came forward with a clear vision: a larger, more inviting space with flexible seating, room for events, and a design that energizes students throughout the day.
The result is a vibrant, multi-purpose hub that seamlessly transitions between cafeteria, music room, large group meeting space, P.E. class, wrestling room, and after-school club venue.
Natural light floods the room, while sound-absorbing wall and ceiling panels create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
Biophilic design elements: warm wood tones, abundant daylight, and nature-inspired colors in greens and blues, enhance well-being and connection to the environment. Dynamic lighting, playful geometric forms, and an expressive flooring layout give the space personality and energy.
A variety of furniture styles, sizes, and groupings empower students to choose how and where they sit, encouraging social interaction and independence.
Outside, the new atrium addition transforms the school’s exterior with a striking metal wall system and saw-tooth fenestration, adding modern appeal and architectural interest to the building’s façade.
