ROCHELLE COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 231
Lincoln Elementary School
ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS
Blending NextGeneration education with sustainable design.
Replacing its 100+ year-old predecessor, the new Lincoln Elementary School stands adjacent to the community’s high school complex—providing a modern Pre-K–5 environment for more than 450 students, including early childhood and special education programs.
Partially funded by a 2011 state construction grant, the facility features three grade sections and state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with the latest teaching technology, all supported by smart building automation to enhance instruction and reduce operational costs.
A commitment to sustainability is at the core of the design. The building’s heating and cooling system draws geothermal energy from over 100 deep wells, delivering exceptional HVAC efficiency and significantly lowering the district’s long-term energy expenses.
