The idea was simple: create a fun exploratory space for the youngest District 35 students.

 

By incorporating Glencoe South’s Explorer Panda Lab with state-of-the-art lighting, cushioned learning stairs, an overhead stream of sound baffles, moveable furniture, and writable walls - the Innovation Lab was born!

 

Originally a small 1950’s auditorium, this reimagined lab provides the ultimate flexible space to support staff’s creativity and the students’ imagination.  

Activities include Project Lead the Way STEAM lessons, assemblies, parent events, special lunch bunch groups, reading on the learning stairs, clubs, guest speakers, and small group instruction.
