Glencoe’s venerable Central School was in need of updating and re-freshening.  Its long record of educational excellence needed support in the form of new spaces and improved finishes.

GreenAssociates was commissioned to renovate the building in two phases. The first phase included the reworking of the front entry and administrative offices. Air conditioning was installed, new spaces created and the internal work flow improved. In addition, the school’s Young Auditorium received a face lift along with improved lighting and acoustics. The stage area was converted to a conference room. Toilet rooms all received new water saving fixtures and new finishes.

Finally, essential roof repairs were made. In phase two of the renovation, Central School will be connected to a Geo-Thermal well field for heating and cooling as well as undergo further facility renovations.
