De La Salle Institute is a century-old private high school for boys. GreenAssociates worked to design a new boys high school at 35th Street and Michigan Avenue. A girl’s high school may be added later, with the project expected to reach $25 million. The site plan was designed keeping in tune with the desired "cloistered" feel of De La Salle. The student commons is designed to be a unifying link between activities and academic buildings |

On the first floor, there is a separate field house and a game gym. Ministry occupies the heart of the main floor. Other areas include administration offices, a resource room and a theater. Specific "house" plans were developed on the second, third and fourth floors. A resource area, conference room and computer lab anchor each. This project was the first phase of the long-term master plan to rebuild the entire school on the same site. |
