De La Salle Institute is a century-old private high school for boys. GreenAssociates worked to design a new athletic facility at 35th Street and Michigan Avenue.

The site plan was designed keeping in tune with the "cloistered" feel of De La Salle. The Student commons is designed to be a unifying link between activities and academic buildings.

On the first floor, there is a separate field house and a game gym. Ministry occupies the heart of the main floor. Other areas include administration offices, a resource room and a theater. Specific "house" plans were developed on the second, third and fourth floors. A resource area, conference room and computer lab anchor each.

This project was the first phase of the long-term master plan to rebuild the entire school on the same site.
